Ryan vs. Biden, Romney vs. Obama, Abortion vs. lots of abortion

Ok, since I’m a Canadian, I guess my opinion about a US election doesn’t really count, but as a Catholic, I would like to voice my opinion.

In this election, we have an incumbent pro-death president with his cut-the-opponent-off-as-soon-as-he-starts-to-speak sidekick who claims to be Catholic. Also running, a Mormon with a Catholic for VP. This should be interesting.

After the VP debates, a lot of Catholics were left divided over Paul Ryan’s “pro-life” stance: He said (qoute)”The policy of a Romney administration will be to oppose abortion, with the exceptions for rape, incest, and life of the mother.”(end quote). Some Catholics said that if he isn’t entirely pro-life, they won’t vote for him. Others said that he is a wonderful debater and that they are definitely voting for Romney. Why the division?

It seems to me that voting for Romney would be the better thing to do. After having a president that is completely pro-abortion, a change for the better is definitely needed. Americans have (in this election) the choice of abortion or lots of abortion. In my humble opinion, voting for Romney is the lesser of the two evils.

What do you think?
